البدائل: مجتمعات يمن آرت بيز | ALTERNATIVES: Yemen Art Base Communities

نتحدّث في هذه الحلقة عن البدائل الثقافية في اليمن ونسلّط الضوء على مجتمعات تكوّنت خلال لقاءات منصة يمن آرت بيز (قاعدة بيانات الفن اليمني) وهي مركز افتراضي وقاعدة بيانات قابلة للبحث تجمع جميع الفنانين اليمنيين داخل وخارج اليمن في مكان واحد. تمكّنت لقاءات يمن آرت بيز التي كانت تقام على مدار الأسبوع في صنعاء، من خلق مساحة آمنة تساعد الشباب على الإبداع والإنتاج الفني.

In this episode we discuss cultural alternatives in Yemen and focus on the communities formed through gatherings hosted by Yemen Art Database, a virtual center and searchable database gathering all Yemeni artists, inside and outside Yemen, on one platform. The Yemen Art Base gatherings, which were held throughout the week in Sanaa succeeded in creating a safe space to help young people give rein to their artistic creativity and production.

In “Alternatives”, the second series of #Mudawanat podcast, we look into the geography of individual and collective initiatives to find similar traces that form a new identity or intellectual movement while exposing the present and future of these regional cultural practices.
