.My child is naughty. Why is he not listening? I can’t set him free! There are common misperceptions about disciplining a child and usually, none of them include setting the child free. In Montessori, we believe that freedom and discipline work hand-in-hand, freedom is not doing whatever you want it is actually doing what is right at your own will without restraints. Maria Montessori believed that liberty and discipline are two sides of the same coin and we can’t have one without the other.
