14: South Sudan | The World’s Youngest Nation ft. Dau Doldol

As South Sudan celebrates its 9th independence day, the world’s newest country to exist is still facing many challenges, conflicts with North Sudan and yet to rise as a strong African nation in a very crucial part of the continent.

– What has changed for South Sudanese after the independence in 2011?
– Did the conflict between the two lands, lead to an Identity crisis?
– Was keeping Sudan as one country a “Mission Impossible” ?
All these questions and more are answered by Dau Doldol who is a South Sudanese who had to leave his homeland during the war, ending up to be an activist, helping the African community in the US through many organizations.
