Then, suddenly, they were gone.

26-The next morning the good shoemaker said
to his wife, “What can we do for those dear little elves?”

27-“Let’s make some clothes for them,” said his wife.

28- “Great! You make them coats, and I will
make them some shoes,” said the shoemaker.

29-When the clothes and shoes were ready,
they put them on the table.

30-The
shoemaker and his wife again hid behind the curtain.

31- Just as before, at midnight, the tiny
elves jumped in.

32-They saw the little coats and the beautiful little shoes.

33-They clapped their hands with joy.

34-Then they put on their new clothes and
jumped out of the window.

35- The shoemaker and his wife never saw the little elves again, but
after that night, good luck was always with them.
